Getting started
- Use the plus button in Library to select one or more PDFs or EPUBs, or share a supported file to PagiSona from another app.
- Choose a voice in Settings. English Michael and Emma are included; install optional language packs while online.
- Open a book and let the audio prepare. Tap a paragraph to listen from there. Use the sleep timer or adjust playback speed as you like.
A file won’t open or has missing text
Use a DRM-free EPUB or a PDF with a usable text layer. Scanned images, protected files, and some complex layouts are not supported. Let your Files provider finish downloading a cloud file before importing it. PagiSona does not remove DRM or perform OCR.
A voice falls back to Apple speech
Some passages may be difficult for a neural voice to process. PagiSona shows a notice when it uses Apple system speech. Confirm that you selected the language of the text and that its pack finished installing. Try “Retry neural speech” and include the error code when contacting support.
Waiting for audio or unusual pauses
Speech is generated on your iPhone, so preparation time varies. Long passages, switching languages, and a busy or warm device can increase the wait. If a sentence is unexpectedly cut off, tell us the language, file type, and section; a non-private example is more useful than sending the entire book.
Finding your place
You can browse away from narration and tap “Return to audio” when you want to follow it again. Chapter navigation includes book-text search. Saved positions and highlights are local to the app.
Clearing history or removing a book
Touch and hold a Library cover to remove its local copy; the original file is unchanged. “Clear caches and reading history” resets saved reading positions after confirmation, but keeps your documents, highlights, and installed voices. This reset has no undo. Removing or offloading an app and managing backups are separate iOS actions.
Release and availability
PagiSona is preparing for its first public iPhone release. We’ll update this site with an official download link once it is available. There is no browser, Android, or desktop edition currently offered here. Availability may vary by App Store region.
