PagiSona is an iPhone reading and listening app from KiBRAX LLC. This notice explains how PagiSona handles your information. It supplements the KiBRAX Privacy Policy; this product-specific notice controls if the two conflict about PagiSona. Advertising and analytics features described for other KiBRAX products are not features of PagiSona v1.
Your documents and reading information
When you import a PDF or supported DRM-free EPUB, PagiSona makes a copy in its own local storage. Your original file is unchanged. PagiSona processes text locally to display the reader, organize passages, search words and sentences, and generate speech. It stores library details such as title and author, reading positions and history, per-book playback settings, highlights and their selected text, and preferences including library order and language choices. Search runs on your device; PagiSona does not send queries to a search service or keep a separate search-history log.
PagiSona does not upload imported books, reading text, highlights, search queries or generated narration to KiBRAX or an online speech service. The app has no account sign-in, tracking, advertising, in-app purchases, analytics SDK or cloud document backend. It does not provide account-based library synchronization. Generated audio and cover-rendering caches are held temporarily in memory; extracted reading plans can also be cached in local files.
Language packs and starter books
Michael and Emma are included for English. You may request optional language packs in Settings. Apple delivers voice and pronunciation resources using its on-demand resource service; the request identifies the pack, not a book or its text. Apple handles network information according to its own policies. Installed packs generate speech locally and can be used without an internet connection.
Where regional starter-book delivery is offered, PagiSona reads the country code of your current App Store storefront through Apple's StoreKit service to choose the available starter collection. This is separate from your preferred device language, which selects the language of KiBRAX originals. PagiSona does not use GPS or IP-based location for this choice and does not send the storefront code to KiBRAX or keep a separate record of it. The resulting library and delivery receipts are stored locally.
Eligible classics may be requested automatically from Apple's on-demand resource service during initial or updated starter delivery, or when you choose to restore included books in Settings. That request identifies the fixed classic collection, not your imported documents. If the storefront is unknown or the download is unavailable, local KiBRAX originals are used. Book availability is not a determination of your physical location.
Removing a language download does not remove books or reading history. Pack export creates an unencrypted ZIP containing only third-party pack data, its descriptor and license notices—not your library, reading history, document text or generated audio. Nothing is sent merely by preparing an export; you choose a destination using the share sheet.
Copy, highlights, sharing and media controls
Highlights are stored locally with their selected text and source positions. They survive a reading-history reset. You can remove individual highlights through the text-selection menu.
Copy puts only the text you select on the system clipboard. Clipboard sharing, including between your devices, depends on platform settings. If you choose another iOS selection or sharing action, the selected content may go to the app or service you choose.
During listening, the current book title, cover and playback information are supplied to iOS media controls. They can appear on the Lock Screen, in Control Center and on compatible connected media interfaces. A locally generated cover or the app icon is used if artwork is unavailable. These surfaces are not private to PagiSona's reader.
Sharing files into PagiSona stages local copies in storage shared by the app and its Share extension, then imports them into Library. This is not an upload to KiBRAX. A source app or Files provider may retrieve its own cloud copy. Successfully handled staging entries are removed; failed or pending imports can remain for retry.
Storage, deletion and backups
- To remove an imported document, touch and hold its cover in Library and choose Remove local copy. PagiSona removes its managed copy and associated reading record/cache and attempts to remove the book's local highlights. Your original file in Files is unchanged. Storage failures or interrupted operations can leave local remnants.
- Clear caches and reading history stops playback and resets every file's saved position, completion, last-opened history and playback speed after confirmation. It keeps documents, saved highlights, installed voices and global preferences. This reset has no undo. If the reset or cache cleanup cannot finish, the app reports that result.
- Interrupted imports or removals can leave app-owned recovery copies. PagiSona moves recognized remnants into protected recovery storage. These copies are excluded from backup and are not removed by the reading-cache action. This version has no separate recovery-file viewer or purge control; re-import the original to add it to Library.
- Removing a voice pack removes its installed assets, not books, highlights or reading history. It does not remove exported copies. A temporary export ZIP can remain until the system cleans temporary storage; copies sent elsewhere are controlled by that destination.
- Managed documents, library information, highlights and other app data may be included in device backups according to iOS settings. Regenerable reading-plan caches and recovery storage are marked as excluded from backup. Removing data in PagiSona does not manage copies already in backups, a file provider, the clipboard, email or an export destination. Offloading an app is different from deleting its data; use iOS storage and backup controls when you intend to remove local app data and retained backups.
KiBRAX cannot remotely inspect or delete the library stored on your iPhone. Use the app's controls and your device's storage and backup settings to manage local copies.
Apple services and external links
When a neural voice cannot read a passage, PagiSona can use a matching installed Apple system voice and shows a fallback notice. Apple controls its voices and system services. Apple may also handle platform diagnostics, App Store/TestFlight information or backups according to your settings and its policies. PagiSona does not automatically send a support report containing a document, its text or generated audio. This is not a promise that every operating-system diagnostic is free of file information.
Opening a website or license link uses your browser or selected external app. The destination receives the ordinary information involved in that visit and applies its own data practices. PagiSona does not fetch remote images, stylesheets or scripts to read an imported EPUB. On-device processing does not guarantee the security of every device or external service. See Apple's Privacy Policy for Apple's services.
Contacting support or requesting privacy help
Email support@kibrax.com. The in-app support link opens your email app; it does not send a message or attach files automatically. If you send email, KiBRAX and the email services involved receive your address and the message, screenshots or attachments you choose to send. KiBRAX uses that correspondence to address your request. Retention and applicable privacy rights follow the KiBRAX Privacy Policy; this notice does not promise a new fixed retention period.
Please describe the problem without sending a book, personal document or private excerpt. You may use the same address to ask about information you have sent to support or request its correction or deletion, subject to applicable requirements. Local reading data remains under your device's controls.
Future changes
This notice describes PagiSona v1. Any later feature that changes data handling needs an updated notice and appropriate disclosures before it is offered. The published notice will show its effective date.
This website
The PagiSona marketing website is separate from the app. Our hosting and network providers, including OpenAI Sites and Cloudflare, process ordinary request information such as IP address, browser details, and request time to deliver and protect the site. We have not added advertising, behavioral analytics, a newsletter form, or a website account system. No imported book or reading history is transmitted to this website by PagiSona. External links and support email are governed by the services you choose. See the KiBRAX Privacy Policy for general company data handling.
